Transfer Students

Wesleyan's Transfer Program is designed for women who wish to take part in the traditional college experience.

Transfer students are accepted from regionally accredited two-year and four-year institutions. Transfer applicants must be in good academic standing with the last college attended and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0. Students that graduated over 3 years ago will follow the transfer admission process.

Wesleyan College has one of the most flexible transfer credit policies in the country.

We will work with you early in the process to identify your transferable credits. In general, transfer credits must come from an accredited institution, be from degree-level coursework, and have a grade of “C” or higher.

  • If you studied at a regionally accredited community college, you may transfer and apply up to 60 credits.
  • If you studied at a regionally accredited four-year institution, you may transfer and apply up to 90 credits.
  • If you have studied at more than one institution, we can accept your credits, provided the institutions are regionally accredited.
  • If you previously earned an Associate's degree at a regionally accredited college, you do not have to take additional general education courses at Wesleyan College to earn your bachelor's degree.
  • When you apply, you will receive a full transfer credit evaluation. Your academic evaluation will show where your previously earned credit will fit into your degree and show what courses you have left to take. See listing of courses that will transfer to Wesleyan.

TRANSFER STUDENT HIGHLIGHTS

Anna Richards

Anna Richards"Transferring to Wesleyan was one of the best decisions I have made in my academic career. Having attended multiple schools, Wesleyan stands out as making me feel the most at home while offering a unique experience that is different from other institutions. As a non-traditional student, I really appreciate the diversity at Wesleyan and being able to relate and learn from other students’ experiences. The personal and collaborative learning environment has made me grow so much as a student and an artist."

- Anna Richards, Studio Art Major

Paige Lee

The Education Department welcomed me with open arms last year, and it’s like I’ve been with my cohort since day one of college. They support me personally and academically; it is amazing to be surrounded by people who want to see you succeed."

- Paige Lee, Elementary Education Major

Mackie Wallace

Mackie Wallace"Working as an Admissions Ambassador, the best part of being a transfer student at Wesleyan College is having a unique experience to share with prospective students. I'm able to compare Wesleyan College to the school I went to before, and it really solidifies how amazing this school is. The support I've received here from faculty and staff, as well as the opportunities I have been provided prove that I made the right choice to transfer to Wesleyan College."

I needed a space that would be full of supportive people to give mentorship and guidance, and I have found that at Wesleyan. At this point in my life I have been given many opportunities and faced with many choices, but this is the one that I am most proud of. Taking the leap and becoming a Wesleyan wolf was the best decision I could have made for myself now, and for my future."
